Kabita Gurung is originally from Pokhara, Nepal, a country of great repute for its majestic mountains and captivating scenery. After completing her high school education from the prestigious Global Collegiate School, she enrolled at a local art school; during and after which time she participated in numerous group exhibitions and progressed onto hold her solo art exhibitions in the capital city, Kathmandu in 2005. She moved to the UK in 2008 and joined the Foundation Degree for Creative Art at Farnham College.

She has won several awards for her paintings, many of which are inspired by the natural beauty of her homeland - truly capturing both its enthralling landscapes and rich culture. Each of her authentic pieces showcase her lifelong passion for art and innate creative flair.
